Dudes I love you both so much.
Firstly, thank you Sam & Hannah for being so generous and letting me move in for like 6 days, honestly I appreciate it more than I can express. It’s been so fun hanging out with you all, I hope the marvel puzzle doesn’t destroy your souls too much.
Secondly, he won’t read this but thanks to Jack for being so flexible with my work hours…joys of self employed life but also we worked our butts off to get everything in place before we both went on holiday...I think I better work now so I can save for the next trip. Vietnam?
Monday 6th
Sooo over the weekend I realised, hey two of my favourite people in the world are literally in the UK, like right now. Yes, I did just spend 2 weeks with them in Italy but you know me, life’s short and I would have regretted not seeing them every moment possible sooooo I booked a train to Portsmouth after Sam and Hannah told me I was more than welcome, it really felt like a home from home - thanks guys.
I arrived in Portsmouth around 230pm, luckily it’s a small station as what they put into the map was not the station…they were just around the corner though, haha
We made our way to wander Gunwharf Quays, I treated myself to a lil Vans tee & Kendra got a hoodie from the Colombia store. Afterwards we went in circles trying to find a Starbucks and made our way to do a food shop instead. The things we do for a PSL. Then we made our way to hangout with Hannah and wait for Sam to finish work. When Sam was back we made our way out for tapas & drinks. Dinner was at Sant Yago and the drinks were in a fun pirate themed bar - Rapscallions

Tuesday 7th
We made our way to Beaulieu - there were horses in the road! Wild horses and donkeys everywhere - so cool! If you’ve never been, go! Thanks for the recommendation Sannah.
Kendra, Dusty and I wandered around for the day. We sipped on coffees, popped into some cute shops and took our sandwiches on a very long walk. We made our way back to hang with the guys later on, and I think we made carbonara this eve, but I can’t remember?!

Weds 8th
Jane Austen day!
We made our way to Chawton and it was a super cute day! Kendra was loving exploring the house of an author that she loves, and me and Dusty just loved seeing how happy it made it made her. Equally we both really enjoyed it too!
We had a time slot when we arrived so had about a 30 minute wait, but there was a cafe, so of course - coffee. Dusty played some Jenga outside the cafe once we finished our drinks.
When we got back that evening we made our way out to Asda to grab some yummy bread to go with some soup and of course take a photo to send in the group chat.
We ended the night watching Pirates of the Caribbean.

Thurs 9th
The day Becky joined us!

We left Portsmouth & made our way to collect Becky from Swindon train station for a day in the Cotswolds. First up Bourton-on-the-Water. We walked around the streets, popped into a few shops and had an epic plate of fish & chips, with bottomless chips?! WHAT! If the fish wasn’t so huge I would’ve had about twenty portions, the chips were great.
Me and Dusty shared some whisky samples, remember in Vegas when we shared a cocktail…
We had a look at the model village, then made our way to Stow-on-the-Wold. I was super happy geeking out at the LOTR tree
“Speak friend and enter…”

After a day exploring, it got to the time Kendra and Dusty had to say goodbye to Becky. We made our way back to Swindon train station, then the guys ever so kindly dropped me back to Bristol so they could meet my parents (and Loki obviously). It was a little late so they had to set off to get back to Portsmouth & didn’t want Hannah spending too much of the eve alone. Appreciate the lift guys! My mum and dad love you so you’ll have to come back!
I met my friends Becky (a different Becky, Beckaroo) and Andy that evening to go to a Deaf Havana gig at the trinity centre. They were a lot better than the first time we saw them so that was a bonus! Great eve!

Friday 10th
Shock! I worked! Haha. I had a lovely chilly early morning walk with Loki, before doing a day of work. I spent the evening reading & wrapping my nieces birthday present.

Sat 11th
My family and I made our way to Newport to celebrate my niece turning 2. I missed her first birthday as I was in Utah…and I did miss her cutting her cake as I made my way to Bath to meet Kendra & Dusty to go back to Portsmouth, should I move in!?
I’ve made a promise to myself that I won’t miss her 3rd birthday, October seems to be the month we hangout and get together. Glad I made it to see her and my family for a couple of hours.

My train got into Bath around 430pm. Hannah, Kendra & Dusty had met up with friends they met on the Put Foot Rally (and Ollie & Tom you would’ve read about in my Italy/Bali posts). They had been in Bath since around 10am but kindly waited for me so I could have a lift back with them to Portsmouth to go and hangout in Brighton with them the next day.
Really nice to briefly see Ollie & Tom again. We had a bite to eat before heading off. Tom & Ollie made their way towards Devon and we made our way to Portsmouth, my second home this past week lol.
Hannah was a little travel sick on the way back so she tried to have a little snooze. When we got back we caught up with Sam & then all watched our friend Marie’s Venice vlog before heading to bed.
Sunday 12th
Brighton day! We left about 10am via Starbucks for a PSL (duh). Hannah drove us today, which was nice for Dusty to have a break from driving but also means Hannah won’t get ill from the windy roads.
When we arrived, just after 1130 I got to meet the Birmingham Boys! Tom & Nathan (and their super cute dog Cooper) I’ve heard great things about them so it was really nice to meet them. We walked about the shops, had a huge bagel for lunch, then had a few drinks on the seafront. A very chilled day & a great way to end my time with them. I don’t like endings or goodbyes, only see you soons.

We said our see you soons to the guys and made our way back to Portsmouth. We had dinner with Sam’s parents, and then the goodbye/see you soons began.
I find it so hard saying bye to Dusty and Kendra. Every time. I cried most of this train journey home, which worked in my favour as no one has sat near me.
To wrap this up (this was almost just an Instagram caption 🤣)…
Thank you Sam & Hannah for making me feel so welcome and at home. Thanks for the laughs and even more great memories, looking forward to visiting you in your new home - I won’t stay that long (but I can’t promise.. 🤣) love you both so much.
Kendra & Dusty 😭
See you soon.
Real soon.
Not on my nieces birthday though.
Jubilee boobalee
Xx
PS - they finished the puzzle! There were two missing pieces though…

What a great read !!! I think you had fish and chips exactly one week later in the same place as me in Burton on the Water!! Wish I could’ve joined in all this … I have severe FOMO … love you all ❤️ and till we meet again 🥰
