Ali 1st May 1990 - 3rd May 2012

The first week in May always feels like a whirlwind of emotions.

May 2006 is when I was diagnosed with AML (a blood cancer) but it also IS the reason I ever met my friend Ali, because cancer is the reason we met and without it I never would have made the greatest friend, even if a brain tumour took her away in 2012.

She sadly passed away on the 3rd May, 13 years ago. Which was 2 days after her 22nd birthday and she would have been 35 this year.

Her sense of humour was the best and even though she was battling something so dark and destroying, she never failed to make me laugh throughout it all.

An absolute legend to the very end. Thanks for all the memories, the fun times, the hard times, but mostly thank you for being you.

Enjoy the moments with those you love, because life is too short.
