Nothing beats seeing live music, and nothing beats seeing the bands you grew up many years later, with added back ache haha.

For the sake of not spamming my Instagram page I thought I would just spam here instead.

Funeral For a Friend (FFAF) were one of the bands I fell in love with when I was 15, and not going to lie...I still listen to them. If I turn the radio on, I turn it back off because I don't have a clue about what anything is, that's probably because I still listen to the same bands that I did when I was a teenager - and I standby this.

Of course I love discovering new music, and my job opens me up into the world of lofi, and through it, new music, through new friends I've made. But ultimately, I always navigate back to the emo bands of my youth, when I had no grey hair and could watch bands without feeling achey. I think the very first "proper' gig I went to was in Milton Keynes at the National Bowl, 2005 and it was Green Day! Supported by Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday, dream line up and a dream gig for little emo Leena. Then later of the same year, I went to The Taste of Chaos tour in Cardiff where I saw FFAF for the first time, alongside The Used who I also loved. This was also a time when gigs were under £25

Speaking of which, me and my friend saw Biffy Clyro in Bristol for like a fiver way back before they were huge, that probably would just about buy you a coffee now.

FFAF thanks for being so epic live, the Rock the Castle show at Cardiff Castle will be with me for a very long time, I may have shed some tears. Nothing really hits like these bands from back in the day, but I am always up for hearing new music so send them over! My recent plays: Deaf Havana Holding Absence (Still feel like front man Lucas should bring them and FFAF into a supergroup situ) Hollow Coves Hazlett Good Terms Anyway,

Peace and emo love ~ Leena

PS - Hi if you actually read this!
